The Queen of Cats has slanted eyes. She is very old and very wise. For an eternity she will rule, sometimes benevolent, often cruel. In all the land there are only her laws guarded by her regent's teeth and claws. Her consorts lie on silk pillows and dream of mountains of salmon and oceans of cream. The Queen of Cats has luxurious fur, long curled whiskers, a harmonious purr. Down marbled corridors she silently stalks past gardens of catnip where peacocks walk. Slowly, gently, she contemplates matters of kingdom, secrets of state. With subtle control, with noble disdain, she guides the subjects of her ageless domain. |

The Cat Magic Poetry Book |

Written by Marion Joyce Zelman

I present to you the Catmagic poetry book. Some of the poems are about real cats, others tell of cats from imaginary realms. Many possibilities are available when there are multiple realities, All interact with each other. From out of these my inspirations are born. Come along with me as I describe special memories and weave colorful phantasies. My intentions have always been to create worlds where cats experience moments that are wonderful and magical. The illustrations in this book represent the true feline essence which is both mysterious and fascinating. |

This space will contain a continuously developing story about the furry folk of Cedarbrook Lane. These creatures have been many and varied, mostly cats but also dogs, and occasionally a few skunks and opossums. I have learned that they are much more than what they seem to be. I will tell about my experiences with these wondrous folk, relate my impressions of past events with them and sometimes share details about my journeys into enchanted places.. Let us begin with chapter one... |
